Rules of UberWorld

UberWorld is a freetalk. Its a phrase we coined (despite what others think) to mean that you can say and do what you want. However, just because you can say and do what you want doesn't mean that people aren't going to get annoyed if you rub them up the wrong way. So here are some general pointers to make sure that you don't end up being hated by the admin, staff or residents ...

Content

If you're going to use UberWorld then you shouldn't be easily offended. If you are, then you should think about another talker.

Multiple characters

They really are pointless and generally piss people off. Do you really need a multiple character? Probably not.

Limiting capitals

Its like shouting in real life. If someone yelled at you for an hour non-stop then you'd probably hit them. Same applies here.

Harassment

Be careful what you say. We are a freetalk, but that isn't an open invitation to pick on some poor sod because of his/her age, weight, gender, looks, sexuality, religion or other stuff. If you do, don't be surprised how unpopular you become.

Spam

Everyone hates spam. The code will pick up on spam too. Just don't overdo it and people won't care. Overdo it and you'll become very unpopular.

Language

The official language is English. If you talk in anything else just remember that some people won't know what you're talking about. Remember when you went on holiday abroad and there were people talking about you but you didn't know what they were saying and how irritating it was? Same thing.

Idling

This is one thing we are hot on. If you wish to idle, then you will be allowed one hours worth of inactivity. During this time you will be hasseled by the warden and eventually thrown into another room where you can idle out the rest of your time. Avoiding being ejected because of idling through the use of anti-idle macros is strictly forbidden and may result in you being kicked off the talker, or worse, being nuked. You have been warned.

Of course, there are only guidelines. They aren't rules cast in stone and people do break them. We don't mind if people occasionally do break them but if it gets to the point of annoyance then don't be surprised if the admin, staff or evern the residents give you a hard time.
